Cannabis + Fitness Meetup

Guys,

You ALREADY know that I think there’s something special about the intersection of cannabis and fitness. I am a firm believer that cannabis can help add some fun and focus to a workout. Even if feeling ‘high’ during a sweat sesh isn’t for you, CBD and cannabis can still serve as a powerful anti-inflammatory that can aid your recovery and sleep!

IRL, we’ve moved this conversation over to the Fitness + Cannabis & CBD Meetup!

We’ve been meeting at different parks around San Francisco to provide a safe space to consume + workout or at least learn about the topic! We host a 45 minute workout + optional time after class for recovery, hydration and consumption.

The typical meet-up looks a bit like this:

  • 9:45 AM- Social consumption before class (optional)

  • 10:00 AM- Introduction to Fitness + Cannabis & CBD

  • 10:10-11:00 AM- Full Body Workout

  • 11:00 AM- Recovery + Optional social consumption

1. How can I use CBD or cannabis as part of my fitness?

If you’ve never used Cannabis or CBD as part of your fitness routine, here are a few tips:

* Cannabis can help reduce pain and increase calm during endurance workouts
* CBD helps reduce inflammation and assist with your recovery
* CBD or cannabis is a strong complement to stretching and foam rolling

2. Is cannabis provided?
You should plan to bring any CBD or cannabis that you may want to incorporate into your workout or recovery.

3. Do I have to use cannabis at this event?
Definitely not! This will be an incredible workout no matter what. Some students may choose to use cannabis to enhance their experience or CBD to aid with their recovery but everyone should do whatever feels right!

4. What do I need to bring?
Bring a water bottle and a towel! + anything you’ll want to consume before or after the workout.

5. How much should I consume for this practice?
First-timers combining fitness and cannabis, should consume less than they usually do and titrate their consumption from there. Everyone's relationship to cannabis is different.

6. Is it safe? What if I haven't consumed CBD or cannabis before?
Many boast about increased focus and recovery when using cannabis products before and/or after their workouts. If you’ve never combined fitness with cannabis products, perhaps you should consider consuming after your workout and note its effects on your recovery.

Everyone's relationship to cannabis is different so please start low and go slow.
